Bhagavad Gita As it is - by Ac Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada
Lord Krishna speaking to Arjuna: Ch 2.12,13,20, 4.5m 18.61, 9.2
Never was there a time when I did not exist, nor you, nor all these kings; nor in the future shall any of us cease to be.
As the embodied soul continually passes, in this body, from boyhood to youth to old age, the soul similarly passes into another body at death. The self-realized soul is not bewildered by such a change.
For the soul there is never birth nor death. Nor, having once been, does he ever cease to be. He is unborn, eternal, ever-existing, undying and primeval. He is not slain when the body is slain.
The Blessed Lord said: Many, many births both you and I have passed. I can remember all of them, but you cannot, O subduer of the enemy!
The Supreme Lord is situated in everyone's heart, O Arjuna and is directing the wanderings of all living entities, who are seated as on a machine, made of the material energy.
This knowledge is the king of education, the most secret of all secrets. It is the purest knowledge, and because it gives direct perception of the self by realization, it is the perfection of religion. It is everlasting, and it is joyfully performed.

finding the source
Of All life, existence, universal truth, energy, consciousness, knowledge, happiness and love
As confirmed and revealed by Gurus, saints, scriptures and the sacred practices, of the Bhakti Yoga mystery school tradition
Bhakti yoga is an active spiritual science meant for realizing the relationship of love that eternally exists between each individual spirit/ soul, and one's Divine creator/God/source.
Bhakti yoga literally translates as living with a personal connection to universal source. it is actively serving the highest reality and truth with spontaneous love and devotion which defines Bhakti, as the ultimate fulfillment, meaning and goal of conscious existence.
Lord Jesus christ also taught bhakti; the common goal being To love God with all of one's heart, mind and spirit.
Bhakti yoga is the art of knowing the origin of one's divine self and of one's divine source, consciously connected in joyful coexistence.
connecting One's life, light, and love
to the source of All Life, light and love, is personal realization of absolute truth / ulitmate reality
Such practice is the pinacle of perfection - experiencing the loving relationship of the personality of Godhead, and oneself reconnected in a dance of non-material pure eternal spiritual energy, lovingly exchanged.
This transformation is actualized by receiving divine sound vibration which penetrates the layers of material coverings, misconceptions of self, and illusions, seeding one's spiritual heart, body and originally transcendent mind. Divine sound descends as holy names, instructions and revelations of higher reality.
Such transcendent sound, known in the sanskrit language as "Shabda brahman" is found in sacred texts and expanded by the realization of saints, who areconsciously connected to divine source; A source that is also divinely and unlimitedly conscious, being ever-present and all knowing.
The knowledge found in the sanksrit writing of ancient vedic scriptures is said to be timeless, although recorded in written form about 5,000 years ago at the beginning of the present "Kali Yuga" the present era of a universal cycle.
therein it is written that universal source is referred to as Bhagavan, a name/word meaning the source of all beauty, fame, knowledge, strength, wealth and renunciation.
Bhagavan, as the source of such all-attractive qualities and energy, is linked with a name of Godhead/Source which means "all-attractive" namely "Krishna" or Bhagavan Sri Krishna, the supremely concious source; the supreme personality of godhead whose form and personality are non-material, unlimited, and infinite. Such a divine personality of Godhead is mostly inconceivable to the human mind, save for the mercy and revelation given by bhagavan himself, Sri Krishna who sits in the heart of each conscious living being, as described sri Krishna himself in the bhagavad-Gita, chapters 15 and 18.
In another sacred text known as "Brahma Samhita" The appointed secondary creator of this universe respectfully known as lord Brahma (although not the supreme lord/Creator source) was empowered by source/Godhead for his universal creative function.
after much meditation and divine communication - downloaded from SRi Krishna within his heart -
He offered a prayer of appreciation with the opening statement:
"Isvara paramah Krishna
sat-chit-ananda vigraha
Anadir Adir Govinda
sarva Karana Karanam"
Translation:
"Krishna, who is known as Govinda, is the supreme personality of Godhead.
He has an eternal, blissful spiritual body.
he is the origin of all, and has no other origin.
he is the prime cause of all causes."
Bhagavan Sri Krishna is also known as Govinda, because he gives pleasure to one's purified spiritual senses, as a means to interact on the spiritual platform, with the source of all happiness; godhead himself.
It is also described in the vedanta sutra, that the absolute truth is "that Source from which everything emanates"
In the Bhagavad Gita (the song of God) after Krishna showed his universal form to his friend Arjuna, offered the following prayer:
arjuna uvāca
paraṁ brahma paraṁ dhāma
pavitraṁ paramaṁ bhavān
puruṣaṁ śāśvataṁ divyam
ādi-devam ajaṁ vibhum
Bhagavad Gita 10.12
"Arjuna said: You are the Supreme Brahman, the ultimate, the supreme abode and purifier, the Absolute Truth and the eternal divine person. You are the primal God, transcendental and original, and You are the unborn and all-pervading beauty.
Later in the same chapter of Bhagavad Gita, Bhagavan Sri Krishna described some of his potencies and ways to understand his divine potencies Bg chatper 10, verse 25:
maharṣīṇāṁ bhṛgur ahaṁ
girām asmy ekam akṣaram
yajñānāṁ japa-yajño 'smi
sthāvarāṇāṁ himālayaḥ
"Of the great sages I am Bhṛgu; of vibrations I am the transcendental om. Of sacrifices I am the chanting of the holy names [japa], and of immovable things I am the Himalayas."
Chanting of the holy names, or Japa, was emphasized not only 5,000 years ago, but also by Sri Krishna in a more recent incarnation. In 1486 in West Bengal, INdia, Krishna appeared again, but this time disguised in the mood of a devotee of krishna, His name was Sri chaitanya Mahaprabhu, and traveled all over india, promoting the practice of chanting the holy Name of Krishna and Rama, including the name "hare" which is calls out for the divine energy of the lord, to engage one in the service of godhead, who is "krishna" the all=attractive Personality of Godhead, and "Rama" the same personality of Godhead who is the source of all spiritual strength and happiness.
This "maha-mantra" or great mantra to deliver one's mind, glorify the Supreme personality of Godhead, and be engaged in divine devotional service (bhakti Yoga) is the most highly recommended process in this age of Kali Yuga, to quickly establish one's re-awakended divine connection to the personality of Godhead, in the mood of divine service to the source of love and happiness, Bhagavan Sri Krishna.
There are no hard and fast rules for the chanting of these holy names. One can repeat them silently in the mind as a meditation, or repeated softly so only the chanter can hear (japa) or chanting out loud with muscical instruments alone or with others (bhajan/kirtan)
Lord chaitanya recommended that anyone could simply chant these holy names, and make one's life sublime
Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna
krishna Krishna, hare Hare
Hare rama, hare Rama
Rama Rama, Hare Hare
this presentation "finding the source" de-mystifies the approach to personally and consciously experience the source of all matter, spirit, and love. this includes conscious evolution in gradual steps by remembering one's soverign glory a spark of spiritual energy, enternally connected to the supremely conscious, Energetic source of all matter & spirit.
This is also known as the path of Bhakti yoga
seeking to find the ulitimate source of life, love, and happiness is natural for some people. Some people desire answers as to who and what they are, as well as where life has come from, it's purpose and where it's is going.
But life can be so demanding, that many feel there is just no time to consider if life is accidental and without purpose (Scientism), or if one's life has purpose, meaning, and an eternal transcendent glory to be experienced in connection and union with one's creator/Source.
Whether life is purposeful or accidental, depends on who one listens to.
Who and what one accepts for guidance, is a question of free will and information access. Information is now abundant, but the quality varies.
This topic begs two questions: who is the highest authority worthy of one's time, consideration and faith, and secondly, can a confident, reasonable faith be compatible with both scientific truths and Spritual conceptions?
as online information and research is posted daily, many find crossovers between science and spirituality is more common than ever before.
There are opinions in the marketplace of ideas to choose from- mostly offered by university and scientific disciplines - but none are conclusive. This because they study the visible world through limited means (senses), mostly ignoring the part that one's consciousness plays in understanding and experiencing life. Many theories we are inititialy taught as probably true, are scuddled for new theories, published year by year, or decade by decade. perhaps there is another way
Knowledge is power; power which has been abused in many cases by both science and religion through corrupted leaders and followers - so that's a thing to consider; who actually represents Godhead/source, and who has ulterior motives for personal fame, fortune, or political/Social control?
Therefore it's up to each person, to seek and search the highest truth and reality if so desired, with other options being to settle somewhere in uncertainty, or just give up and conclude no one really knows anything for sure - then just flow with whatever happens until the universal time-keeper calls the match, and see how that works. and that's okay too Free will is eteranally a thing also.
Spoiler for eternal armchair philosophers: a divine life and love starting here and now is an option for those so inclined - as is dreamy fence sitting and watching time fly by. The pains of birth, death, old age and disease tend to visit everyone eventually in the birth / death cycle. Ending the cycle of reincarnation in this life by spiritual effort and blessings, ends misery also.
Some may be looking for the source of fortune and fame, or for knowledge providing relief from a burden or illness. Some others are seeking full and absolute truth, happiness, and satisfaction.
Some call the above, a search for God or enlightenment, which would also be accurate. In today's world of justifiable scepticism, the word God may trigger resentment or outrage, as God has been claimed by many who don't represent the Absolute truth by their words and actions. As such, a rebranding of God as "source" has become broader term or referrence for many, for universal Creator/God. The vedic texts reveal that God has unlimited names, for the same original, one Divine creative, supremely conscious being, in whose image each individual soul is sourced from.
To seek truth or find God, means finding/remembering one's individual loving relationship with one's Divinly conscious source. This takes place usually gradually, as revealed in one's heart.
How that supreme loving relationship is re-kindled, starts with at least some fraction of faith, that God and the individual have relationship to begin with. One can then find a qualified teacher of any faith, for further progress. God/source guides both from within one's heart, and from without as the bona fide teacher/guru, who has the same message. If the goal is to know and love god, then it should not matter what means or tradition or faith one follows - vigillantly keeping in mind that love of God and self, and even love all of creation as God's property and energy, is the final destination of a successfully, spiritually lived life.
It is wisely advised in the bible "know oneself" Knowing God, is also required.
There is vast information in the Vedas, of how to know God - his qualities, potencies, names, and divine feminine aspects as well. God can reveal himself in anyone's heart by his sweet will, but Godhead/source also provides scriptures and saints for help, confirmation and guidance.
With love of God as a goal on the spiritual path, how is it possible to love someone, without knowing of their loveable qualities? Some research may be required!
What you will read here (reading is hearing within) is knowledge of source, given by source Himself - through various means, namely directly such as in the Bhagavad gita (the song or God), or by holy texts written by realized and liberated souls, who also express divine wisdom through their connection with Source.
We are all meant to have this same divine connection to God/Source, through voluntarily opening a conscious channel through a pure heart, mind and soul.
If one truly wants to find divine source, God, The all-knowing source is already within each heart, and willing to open the spiritual doors and give access and divine association, internally and externally.
source can speak from within and without, if one listens carefully.
Everything is based on sound vibration. embrace those thoughts and sounds which resonate - vibrating as a gut feeling of peace and calm knowing.
The truth of God and yourself are already within each person; a soundbath of authentic wisdom helps clear the veil of ignorance covering one's true spirit. The light of received knowledge, clears the darkness, like a sunrise.
True saints give wisdom free of charge, but time must be spent hearing them and applying the treasured knowledge they offer. that is the price to pay for something that cannot be bought.
to acuate the value of Godly wisdom. spending some time each day in Sanga (saintly assocation) through sound, is the offering here - Finding the source;
as received from the saints of the Brahma-Madhava-Gaudiya linage from india, and specifically as received from His Divine grace AC Bhaktivedanta swami (1896-1977) who blessed the world and his followers with his ecsatic presence, and authored 70 volumes of vedic wisdom and guidance, translated from the original sanskrit language.
