Finding the truth within you
Energetically speaking each person is an individual of point of consciousness, observing the reality of the moment.
As an energetic points of consciousness, everyone may experience reality differently, but everyone experiences two types of reality - those experiences which dissolve over time, and those which continue to last, even beyond death.
For knowing the reality that goes beyond the birth and death of the body and relates to one's spirit/soul, sacred texts can be consulted, such as the Bhagavad Gita. Therein Sri Krishna reminds his friend and student Arjuna "Many lives both you and have passed; I can remember all of them, but you cannot." Krishna also instructed Arjuna "For the soul there is neither birth nor death, having once been, it never ceases to be; it is eternal, primeval and not slain when the body is slain.
Since everything changes over time, should it be considered that every experience will ultimately wash out as an illusion, therefore should be considered that there is nothing lasting or eternally meaningful?
To conclude that life is ultimately void of valid and meaningful experience due to the influence of time making almost everything irrelevant, would be the same as concluding that because counterfeit currency exists, there is no genuine currency to be found. Or to conclude that by seeing a mirage in the desert, no actual water exists.
One can experience the temporal, but also experience the eternal, via the medium of consciousness.
Personal consciousness is a subjective, self-evident truth. Many consider that is it the spiritual, non material life force or soul which pervades the physical body, and that consciousness is the symptom of the spiritual spark of life.
It is one's consciousness, which allows perception of everything else - which makes up one's experiential reality. It is in one's consciousness that temporary illusions then disappear, well as where one gets glimpses of the eternal.
According to sacred texts, all energy is coming from One Source / God / Spirit, but is expanded into 2 categories.
Just as the sun radiates heat and light, so from a single Source, both material and spiritual energies flow.
The conscious living being, although belonging to the eternal spiritual category of Source energy, is sometimes conditioned by the influence of the material energy, thus the spark of pure spirit is covered by gross and subtle bodies due to ambitions to lord over the material nature. Thus one's spiritual birthright of eternity, is clouded by taking on temporary forms throughout the universe, until one awakens from the dream of separation from it's loving Source.
Because we can't see where space in the universe begins or ends, one could take it as a model of infinity; like eternal time that has no beginning and no end - a space beyond time. It is from this separate, "space" of eternal time from which consciousness is said to flow from it's Source - a Source which manifests all energies of space and time.
Eugene Wigner - Nobel Laureate in Physics, describes it this way:
"There are two kinds of reality or existence; the existence of my consciousness and the reality or existence of everything else."
The reality of one's experience, is experienced in one's consciousness; it is through this very consciousness by which science tries to explain and quantify reality, however consciousness itself is still not scientifically understood, - nor can it be denied.
Consciousness although invisible, like time and gravity, has it's symptoms which undeniably point to it's existence - but consciousness is not locally limited to one part of the body, nor proven to be a product of brain chemistry.
Consciousness is possessed to some degree or another not only by human beings, but other life forms as well. It has been shown that even plants have a type of consciousness which sense human interaction and intention, both mental and physical. It could be concluded intuitively that consciousness and life itself, are inextricably mixed and connected.
This conclusion is fortified when one understands consciousness is actually a symptom of one's individual spiritual essence; a particle of the Supreme Spirit, of Conscious Source; a particle which at present is covered by misconceptions of both self and matter.
It is this conscious, spark of spirit which animates the physical vehicle, and makes choices in it's process of thinking, feeling, and willing.
Highly evolved sages and mystics speak of a spiritual reality - the non-material, invisible, non-measurable energetic realm which cannot be proven or dis-proven by scientific equipment. It can be noted that consciousness said to be a symptom of that higher reality Source.
Consciousness is something that also baffles scientific consensus as to it's source and ultimate potential - but mystic traditions assert it is consciousness that links us to both the material and more subtle, spiritual realms of perception. Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether are said to be the material elements, but underlying those elements is a subtle universal spiritual energy field which connects all of creation to Source.
It is in one's consciousness, and how it one relates to everything outside of itself, which determines the nature of one's experience of reality, and how that " external" energy realm responds.
One can see the world through conditioned senses, or one can see the world through the focused lenses of higher knowledge - as revealed by sages and sacred revealed sources.
How to understand the nature of one's external reality, and interact with it in such a way as to participate in a spiritual reality of oneness, harmony, and love, is the mission, purpose, and lasting satisfaction of Finding the Source.
This starts consciously, individually, by understanding the nature of self and consciousness, plus also understanding the nature of everything else outside of oneself as well - of matter and spirit; the seen and the unseen - then acting accordingly.
By humbly understanding karma, or the how law of action/reaction impact daily and future life experiences, one's becomes more mindful of which actions and choices are more beneficial than others, as to lasting satisfaction.
Over time it becomes clear that one's experiences, which seem to flow inward from an external, separate reality - are in fact manifestations of previous conscious (or unconscious) choices as orchestrated in tandem with both material and spiritual laws of nature. Over time, actions guided by revealed vision, produce continuing states of consciousness providing glimpses of eternity, revelatory knowledge, and unconditional joy in connection with Source/God/Spirit.
